Firm History
The accounting firm of David J. Fisher, CPA has been in business in Rohnert Park since July of 1998.
Dave spent his first 3 1/2 years in accounting working at a CPA firm in St. Helena, whose clientele was primarily winery and vineyard businesses. The following 4 years were spent working for a large West Coast regional CPA firm in their Santa Rosa office, focusing on businesses and wealthy individuals as well as business consulting and systems consulting matters.
Dave was also a MAS 90/200 accounting software consultant from 1987 through 2008 and has done extensive consulting regarding accounting systems setup, training and configuration.
Dave worked the next 8 years with Jim McGuire, CPA as an employee for 4 years and later as a partner at McGuire and Fisher CPA's for the following 4 years. After that, Dave opened his own firm.
Prior to his accounting career, Dave taught high school business education classes in Arizona and Wisconsin. Dave also taught college accounting classes at the Napa Valley Junior College and business classes at Yavapai College in Prescott, Arizona.

American Institute of Certified Public Accountants - 24 years, California Society of Certified Public Accountants - 23 years, Founding Member of Rohnert Park Business Networking International (BNI) Direct Connections Chapter, Former Rohnert Park-Cotati Rotary Foundation Treasurer and Rotary club member for 14 years, Former Rohnert Park Chamber of Commerce Treasurer (4 year appointment), Redwood Empire Estate Planning Council Member since 2006, and Cotati Chamber of Commerce.
